What you're buying

Art. Every piece is a genuine NOAA nautical chart, recolored — never redrawn. Coastlines, soundings and hazards come from the NOAA Office of Coast Survey exactly as published. Shearwater Nautical is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA, and a recolored chart is a modified visual portrayal, not an official product.

It is not for navigation. Hang it on the wall; don't take it to sea.

Made to order

Charts are printed after you purchase, one at a time. The Studio preview shows the exact chart in the exact colors we print — what's on screen is the file that goes to the press.

Returns, replacements and cancellation are covered on the Returns page — the short version: custom work is final sale, but anything damaged, flawed or wrong is replaced free, no conditions.

Shipping terms live on the Shipping page: free in the US, 7 to 10 days to your door, US addresses only.

Prices and payment

Prices are as posted at checkout, in US dollars, plus applicable sales tax which is calculated by Stripe at purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe; an order exists once payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation email.

Our work

The source charts are US government publications. The recolorings, palettes, product imagery and this site are ours — personal use of what you buy is yours forever, but please don't reproduce our renderings commercially.

These terms can change as the business grows; the version on this page is the one in force. If something here doesn't sit right or doesn't cover your situation, email orders@shearwaternautical.com — a person answers, and we'd rather fix a problem than point at a clause.
